WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Front line care and support staff who work with adults with autism
WHY DO YOU NEED THIS COURSE?
In 2019 the Department for Health and Social Care published a core capabilities framework for front line staff who work with people with autism. This was largely due top the unnecessary death of a young man in the UK with autism who dies in an NHS hospital in 2016. Autism is a developmental disorder which affects the way people on the spectrum view the world and their thinking and interactions within it. Unless people understand what living with autism can mean, they cannot fully provide person centred support and care.
