WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This Safeguarding vulnerable Adults and children course is for:

  • All staff who may need to respond to adult safeguarding concerns
  • All staff who regularly contribute to supporting vulnerable adults at risk of abuse and/or their families/carers
  • All staff who might participate in Safeguarding vulnerable Adults investigations
  • All staff who may come into contact with children within part of their wider role

WHY DO YOU NEED THIS COURSE?

Reporting abuse and neglect in relation to vulnerable adults and children is a legal and moral responsibility for all Healthcare/Social care Professionals.

If you are in a position where you are relied on by vulnerable adults, or you work with their families/carers, you have a duty of care to ensure your Safeguarding training is up to date.

This training course will raise the necessary awareness for Safeguarding Adults and children knowledge, and enable you to continue providing the best possible support within your role.

OBJECTIVES

  • Understand Trust and Multi-agency Safeguarding Vulnerable Adult and children policy and processes
  • Understand your role & responsibility as part of Multi-Agency Policy & Procedures
  • Understand prevention actions & how to recognise signs and indicators of possible vulnerable adult abuse
  • Understand referral actions and processes
  • Understand how the Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards support safeguarding vulnerable adults
