Supporting people both in a care setting or within own homes places a duty of care upon the support worker to abide by health, safety and hygiene protocols to safeguard the vulnerable. Failures to adhere to these protocols can not only place those at risk in danger, but can also place the front line staff in breech of legislation and policy.
